Murray Sentner serving as Venerable Master of the American Military Scottish Rite Bodies.

Ill. Bro. Sam Ervin, 33°, GC, congratulating Ill. Bro. Murray Sentner, 33º, on his appointment as Deputy to Supreme Council for Orient of NATO Military
Bodies in Europe. (1987)

As seen from his passport, Brother Sentner traveled to many foreign countries helping to organize Scottish Rite Freemasonry.

The Supreme Council Library and Museum recently received a generous donation from William Obinger, 32°, on behalf of Honorable Murray Sentner, 33°, of Bowie, Maryland. Brother Sentner was born in 1923 and passed away on April 18, 2003. He was an active Mason who was involved with the spread of Masonry overseas.
Brother Sentner was the founding Venerable Master of the American Military Scottish Rite Bodies, Orient of NATO bases. His leadership provided a firm foundation necessary for this organization to become an important part of the European Masonic family. Sentner also helped Holocaust survivors to find homes, helped orphanages in Europe, and he even received a coat of arms from the heraldry of Livonia. As President of the American Federation of Governed Employees, Sentner sought to raise U.S. employee’s wages in Europe where they had received half of the amount of the U.S. minimum wage.
The gifts he presented to the Supreme Council included books, regalia, photographs, certificates, lapel pins and other Masonic memorabilia.
