| RE: | National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Donations for National Disaster Relief |
On this National Day of Prayer and Remembrance, I join with President George W. Bush and all the citizens of the United States of America as we remember the devastating losses caused by Tuesday's terrorist attacks and pray for peace and healing for all. The Masonic fraternity teaches its members to practice brotherly love and relief, and I urge all of you to consider these virtues as you respond to our national tragedy.
Please help the innocent victims and their families of these horrific acts by sending your donations from Almoner's Funds, Valley Funds, and/or personal funds to the Scottish Rite Foundation, S.J., U.S.A., Inc., 1733 16th Street, NW, Washington, DC 200093103, for "National Disaster, September 11, 2001."
As our fraternity enters its third century of providing relief to those in need, I remind all of you of our commitment to offer help, aid, and assistance to the distressed. Our citizens have endured much in the past, and we will eventually emerge from this crisis triumphant.
May God bless America!
