A letter to Sovereign Grand Commander C. Fred Kleinknecht, 33°, expresses a daughter's appreciation of her family's Masonic tradition.

My father, Randall F. Dainty, is a Thirty-second Degree member of the Scottish Rite in Kennewick, Washington. He is also a member of Dumas Lodge No. 1009 in Dumas, Texas. My father has been a good man and has lived his life in a way that would make all his Brothers proud. Daddy started to show me things when I was a young girl and pointed me towards the Masonic family. I went into Job's Daughters at the ripe age of 12. My father was very proud that night. I learned so very much in Job's Daughters, and I feel it has helped me in so many ways to grow up with knowledge of the Bible and how we should all respect each other. I also went into Eastern Star in California many years ago but have demitted because I was unable to participate. I will probably re-enter in the near future.

I'd like to say, "Thank you, Dad, for all the knowledge of all the good things being a part of the Masonic family has brought to me!" Also, thank you for the work of Freemasonry in the world. We need more men in this world to be part of this wonderful organization. The members of today have surely made a difference, and I do pray that the work continues as it has since ancient times. I have been asked if this group believes in God. Daddy put it well, "What do you think the G stands for in the Square and Compasses?"

I read the Scottish Rite Journal from time to time when Daddy gets it, and I am always amazed to learn who is a member of the Fraternity. Thank you for your time to read this message and to all the Masons. "Keep Up The Good Work!"
