Guidelines for Readers

Inquires

The staff of the Library, Archives and Museum is available daily to assist readers in the use of the collections. Please call, write or e-mail in advance if a special request is being made. 

 

Photocopying

Photocopying fees are based on customary and reasonable charges of 10 cents per copy. Copy orders that require mailing will be billed to include the shipping costs. Photocopying is subject to copyright laws of the United States and may, therefore, be prohibited. In some instances photocopying may be refused because of preservation concerns. 

 

Reading Room Etiquette

This is a non-smoking facility. 

Food and beverages are not permitted in the Atrium of Library. Dining accommodations are nearby in the neighborhood.  

Researches using rare books or manuscripts are asked to take notes in pencil only. Laptop or portable computers are permissible.
